Terms and Conditions

The terms that apply when you use the Home Space Style website and when we provide renovation services to you.

Effective from the date of publication on homespacestyle.com

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the website homespacestyle.com and any renovation, installation, maintenance or advisory services provided by Home Space Style (“we”, “us”, “our”). By using this website or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.

Use of this website

  • The content on this website is provided for general information about our services.
  • You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to gain unauthorised access, or use automated tools to scrape or overload it.
  • We may update, suspend or withdraw parts of the website without notice where necessary for maintenance or improvement.

Information, quotations and estimates

Content on this website, including service descriptions and blog articles, is general in nature. Renovation requirements vary from home to home, and anything described here is not a substitute for an on-site assessment.

  • Any indicative figures discussed during an enquiry are exactly that — indicative — and not a binding quotation.
  • A binding quotation is issued only in writing, following an assessment of the property, and remains valid for the period stated in that document.
  • Where unforeseen conditions are discovered once work begins (for example concealed damage, non-compliant existing work or structural issues), we will explain the situation and provide a written variation for your approval before proceeding.

Booking work and project terms

When you accept a written quotation, a separate project agreement or statement of work may apply in addition to these Terms. That document will set out the scope, materials, schedule, payment stages and warranty details specific to your project. Where it conflicts with these Terms, the project agreement takes precedence for that project.

Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information about your property, including known defects, access restrictions and any previous work carried out.
  • Ensure safe, reasonable access to the areas being renovated, including water and power where required.
  • Move or protect valuables, fragile items and irreplaceable belongings from work areas before work begins.
  • Obtain any approvals required from landlords, co-owners, homeowner associations or local authorities that apply to your property.
  • Respond to requests for decisions, selections or approvals promptly so the schedule can be maintained.

Scheduling, access and delays

We plan schedules carefully, but renovation work can be affected by weather, material availability, supplier lead times and conditions discovered during the work. We will inform you as soon as we become aware of anything likely to affect the agreed dates and will re-sequence work wherever possible to reduce the impact. Delays caused by factors outside our reasonable control do not constitute a breach of these Terms.

Prices, payments and financing

  • Prices are quoted in the currency stated in your quotation and are subject to the terms set out there.
  • Payment stages, deposits and due dates are specified in your project agreement. Invoices are payable within the period stated on each invoice.
  • Where we provide guidance on home loan or financing options, this is general guidance only. Any lending decision, rate, term or approval is made solely by the lender, and we are not a lender, broker or financial adviser.
  • Late payment may result in suspension of work in line with your project agreement.

Workmanship and warranty

We stand behind our work. Labour and applicable material warranties are set out in writing at handover and are subject to the conditions stated there, including proper use, routine maintenance and the use of suitable cleaning and care products.

  • Warranties cover defects arising from our workmanship under normal residential use.
  • Warranties do not cover damage caused by accidents, misuse, neglect, extreme weather events, alterations by others, or normal wear and tear.
  • Manufacturer warranties for supplied products are provided by the relevant manufacturer, and we will assist you in making a claim where needed.
  • To make a warranty claim, contact us using the details on our Contact Us page and we will arrange an inspection.

Changes and cancellations

You may request changes to a project at any time. Because changes affect materials already ordered and labour already scheduled, we will provide a written variation covering any cost and time impact before the change is made. Cancellation rights, notice periods and any charges relating to work already carried out or materials already ordered are set out in your project agreement.

Intellectual property

All content on this website — including text, layout, graphics, photography and the Home Space Style name and logo — is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. Any other reproduction, distribution or commercial use requires our prior written permission.

Photographs and project galleries

From time to time we photograph completed work for our portfolio and website. We will always ask your permission first, we never include identifying details of your address or family, and you may decline without affecting any part of your project.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, our liability arising from any project is limited to the value of the services provided under the relevant agreement, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as loss of profit, loss of rental income or loss of opportunity. Our website content is provided without warranty of any kind, and we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the site.

Our website may link to third-party websites or integrate external services. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability or practices.

Privacy

Our handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. Newsletter subscriptions and unsubscribe requests are handled as described there and on our Subscribe and Unsubscribe pages.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States. Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms or our services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page is the current version and applies from the date it is posted. Continued use of our website or services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
